Chicken Soup let’s make it today. Monsoon has hit the south of Asia and the rest of the world is seeing off the summers to welcome the winter. But why am I discussing this?? Because I want to mention my craving for soup. Yes! And that too Chicken soup!  Though it is considered a winter dish but trust me if you will just stir up this home cooked Chicken Soup and enjoy it as a snack in the rainy evenings. Its heart warming and nourishing nature will undoubtedly fulfill not just your tummy but also your soul.

Soups are considered as a food powerhouse, packed with carbs, protein, vitamins minerals, fiber, and antioxidants. Above all, its easy to prepare and good for health. And chicken soups are like the mother of all soups.

Make Your Soup More Nourishing

You may start off with just aiming for a simple Chicken soup but just dig into your refrigerator and pull out some veges to add to it and make the soup more and more nutritious and yummy.

Maybe there is a can of sweet corn kernels somewhere in the pantry or how about the carrot lying there to be munched, in short, just toss them in and trust me you won’t regret.

Essential Ingredients

Bony part of 1 chicken

2-3 cloves of Garlic

1 teaspoon crushed Ginger

  • small onion peeled and cut into just halves
  • green chilies

11/2 teaspoon Vinegar

1 teaspoon ground black pepper

½ teaspoon sugar

Salt to taste

5 cups of water

Start Cooking The Broth

Firstly, put it up for boiling.

These ingredients are unquestionably enough to prepare a delicious, whole some Chicken soup, but like I said more can be added to it.

Moreover, Take a cup of sweetened corn kernels, grind 3/ 4 of the cup and keep the rest aside.

Following this, Beat an egg and keep that aside too.

Do not add to your broth yet.

But you can toss in a halved carrot if you want.

When it gets thoroughly cooked, remove meat from bones and shred.

Add bones again to the broth and cook again.

Remove from heat when 3 cups remain and sieve to have the broth.

Time To Freeze

Additionally, you can freeze the broth at this stage, just let it cool and freeze for later use. Reheat the broth and continue with the recipe for the Chicken Soup.

Handy Tips

  • Freeze it in an ice cubes tray, that way you will have small portions of broth available any time.
  • Add these cubes to your relish your instant pasta cravings
  • Heap a few in a cup and toss in the microwave or a saucepan on the stove to heat it up. Add salt and pepper and now you have an instant cold remedy right out of the freezer, An instant Chicken soup but just without any chicken meat.
  • A couple of these cubes add taste to your boring stir fried vegetables too.

Back To The Chicken Soup

Put over heat again.
Add the ground and whole corn kernels to the broth
Add the shredded chicken meat
Black pepper
Take 2 heaped teaspoons of Corn flour Starch and mix it with ¼ cup of water.
Add the solution to the soup but don’t forget to keep stirring.
The thickening will gradually appear as you stir and simultaneously add the beaten egg, bit by bit to your soup.
And again, don’t forget to stir continuously, but gently.
And your delicious soup is ready with minimum effort, minimum ingredients and lots and lots of savor.
Serve with Chili Sauce, Soy Sauce and vinegar and enlighten your soul with a cup to feel the warmth and to relish the monsoon evenings.
